Using YouTube for Recruitment

This session will focus on ways institutions have creatively and effectively used online video (produced professionally and in-house by staff or students) to market to prospective and accepted students. Attendees of this presentation will walk away with a list of ideas of how to highlight students, faculty, events, activities, and more. We’ll also see compelling statistics to encourage use of YouTube and discuss the importance of cross-promoting videos on other social networking sites.


Mallory Wood
Asst Director of Marketing, Saint Michael's College

Mallory Wood is an Assistant Director of Marketing and the Social Media Developer at Saint Michael's College located in Burlington, VT. She recently transitioned to this position after working as an Admission Counselor for about two years. Mallory provides support for all campus social media users and manages the Office of Admission's social media presence. Mallory works directly with the "SMC Bloggers" and student interns to engage prospective students on Facebook, YouTube, FlickR, Blogger, and Ning. Mallory has backgrounds in marketing and event management.
